The fact that the women who wrote the terrible Lilo and Stitch "critique" are actively white supremacist right-wingers is actually very salient and should override any lectures about the specter of the Tumblr SJW.

This is what happens when you think in stereotypes, especially generational ones There are plenty of Millennials and Zoomers who are conservative Republicans They use the same websites, they watch the same TV shows and movies, they know the same slang and talk the same way

It doesn't actually mean anything about their beliefs or their philosophy Plenty of conservative Republicans could speak hippie back in the 60s (I *keep on pointing out* that the same guy who wrote Stranger in a Strange Land wrote Starship Troopers)

Tumblr is now 13 years old. people are growing up with this kind of language and cultural signifiers now, independently of their actual politics.

There's also the fact that a lot of this type of discourse, on tumblr in the early days, was cultivated by TERFs. So while being an "SJW" myself, I have ALWAYS been wary of this kind of language. It's very manipulative, and this recent drama is a perfect example of that.
