Why don't big dinosaurs violate the square cube law?

So you're saying we can make mecha if they're shaped like T-rexes
-
Well, if it was actually the size of a T Rex and not the size of a humongous mecha/kaiju

This is a whole thing, like old school cartoony depictions of a T Rex used to show them standing fully upright like a human with their tail dragging uselessly behind them (like a human wearing a suit) even though this makes no sense and they'd break their spine standing that way
-
Jurassic Park made a big deal of trying to make them all move like real animals, like having the T Rex in a horizontal stance realistically using its tail for balance (Which is why it has tiny vestigial arms, because the way it stands it wouldn't ever use them)
