Sanders’s defeat in 2020 was more than an electoral loss. It was a hammer blow to an entire theory of politics.https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2020/4/10/21214970/bernie-sanders-2020-lost-class-socialism?utm_campaign=vox&utm_content=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter …

Is it more likely that more people voted for Biden or that one guy with a WordPress blog is the only person to have cracked this case wide open? Please stop spreading conspiracy memes based on faulty methodology. https://www.factcheck.org/2020/03/no-huge-red-flag-that-fraud-occurred-in-mass-primary/ …pic.twitter.com/gTg6hLVJIZ

"This story is obviously fake because the corporate media, many of whom's parent companies donated to this man's opponents and who's entire business model will be damaged by his presidency, didn't cover" isn't quite the take you think it is. Upton Sinclair quote goes here.

Exit polls are incredibly reliable in every other democracy on Earth, besides America. Also, unrelated fact, America is the only democracy which does black box voting, where there is no verifiable paper trail for each and every ballot. But I'm sure that's just a coincidence.

Exit polls have been "skewed to the left" for decades, it's a known issue going back to the 1990s, in both primaries and in the general election

How you interpret this is a worldview issue, and if you think all poll workers in all elections are systematically in a conspiracy to destroy the left (but big media polling organizations somehow are not, creating the discrepancy) I can't stop you from thinking that

Personally it seems more likely to me a combination of the Bradley effect (some % of voters lie to pollsters to seem more progressive/less bigoted than they are) and sampling bias, the demo that likes to talk to pollsters tends to vote more left (college kids, activists, etc)

Anyway this argument annoys me You just got done telling me big media corporations had an agenda to destroy Sanders and would stop at nothing to kill his momentum And yet the polls run by those same corporations are the only reliable source about the real vote?

Both of those things can't be true The annoying thing about conspiracy theory thinking isn't some kind of general skepticism about all media, it's this selective skepticism about some things and credulity about others based only on narrative

The annoying thing about the current political landscape is that people insist that human beings are logical actors. And that any deviation from that is a failure on their part.
