Apparently, male eggplants have less seeds and have a slightly sweeter taste than female eggplants. To tell the difference, you look at the bottom. A deep gash is female and a round, shallow indentation is male. Woooooah.

This is a myth, though By definition any flower that forms into a fruit has "female" parts, the difference between kinds of eggplants isn't a matter of sex

I dunno, there's not that much to say about it Eggplants are a monoecious plant so they're not even separated into male and female in the first place, all eggplant flowers are both But in plants that are, like cannabis, by definition only female plants make fruit

There was that whole thing about how they deliberately picked diecious trees to plant in cities so they could plant only male ones and never have to deal with cleaning up fallen fruits and seeds, at the cost of massive waves of pollen
