"Sanders has pushed the Dems to the left on policy and ideology" Yeah sure. That's why they bent over backwards to ensure the single most conservative Democratic presidential nominee in decades, the one who, out of all candidates running, most closely resembled the incumbent

I don't know that that's true in terms of actual policy platforms

Like what do you mean by "in decades", because Biden definitely isn't to the right in terms of either policy or branding compared to Bill Clinton

I don't see an argument that Joe Biden has ever been contemporaneously to the left of Bill Clinton On top of that I don't see an argument that Joe Biden wasn't more contemporaneously conservative than Mondale, Dukakis, Gore, Kerry or Obama Even his modern policies aren't far

Joe Biden is ABSOLUTELY a more conservative candidate than Hillary Clinton was so on that basis alone we have inarguably "moved to the right" at least that much even before you factor in Biden's slavering enthusiasm to cooperate with the most fascist opposition party ever

Like people keep insisting the party has moved left and I just, like No? we haven't even gotten back to pre-9/11 levels of liberalism, we just have marriage equality now

Wait really? Pre-9/11 the idea of universal health care at all was a dead letter after the Hillarycare debacle in 1993

I know people call the ACA a useless half measure in 2020 but getting it passed in 2010 was a HUGE deal, the Democrats had to fight tooth and nail over it Anything even similar to that was totally off the table for Clinton's two terms
