Do you have a false sense of security when you have a seatbelt on? Do you actually think getting in an accident is no big deal because the seatbelt is there? Maybe people acted like that the FIRST TIME they drove wearing seatbelts, but people adjust

(Just like if the seatbelt in your car was missing and you absolutely had to get in and drive somewhere you'd probably freak out and drive really carefully... THE FIRST TIME But as it becomes the new normal, your behavior normalizes)
