Very Interesting and he thinks that will cure racism? Why is it the responsibility of the victims to appease the racist. Naive indeed .

NO HE DIDN'T JESUS CHRIST MLK WAS WIDELY HATED BY WHITE AMERICA BECAUSE HE INSISTED ON "DISRUPTIVE" AND "DIVISIVE" MARCHES AND PROTESTS, NOT HUMBLE COMMUNITY SERVICE

The lack of history taught about this time period has been pretty damaging, part of which can be blamed on turning MLK and his colleagues into these plaster saint icons who are universally beloved

There was a conservative Black Republican wing in the 60s, who hewed to the Booker T. Washington model of Black uplift (work hard, give back to the community, earn respect) They did not approve of MLK either and thought of him as a dangerous troublemaker

Thing is, they faded pretty fast as a political force in the 60s, because MLK and the Civil Rights movement succeeded in "heightening the contradictions" Protesting got the Civil Rights Act passed Not protesting did nothing to appease white racists and stop them radicalizing
