But we’re all Americans and AAPI proudly embracing and displaying that fact helps hammer that point home. The most decorated unit in military history was one of Japanese Americans - they all enlisted for WW2 service even as their families were thrown into interment camps.

Yeah did you actually see Allegiance? Do you think it was really of net benefit to the people trapped in those camps that people were pushed into volunteering for meatgrinder suicide missions?

Do you think it's some great victory that the 442nd being the most decorated unit in the war shamed Bill Clinton into paying reparations for internment FIFTY YEARS LATER

The 442nd accomplished a lot. Are you belittling what they did because the American government’s failure to not provide reparations in a timely manner? Although they got it a lot faster than
#ADOS, who are still waiting.2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

I'm belittling the brass who made them false promises and exploited them, and belittling the propagandists who use cheap deflections to defend those assholes the way you're doing now

I’m not defending anyone except the Japanese Americans in the 442nd who selflessly volunteered when they had no obligation to. You’re having a tantrum and confusing me with a racist. But you check mark folk thrive on drama so obviously you manufacture it. Simmer down.

Okay, good for them They shouldn't have been encouraged to volunteer by people intent on exploiting them or indifferent to the fact they would be exploited That's who you are right now, you're not them

This rhetorical strategy of turning attacking someone's exploitation into attacking them is transparent and boring "How DARE you suggest that this person working for me for five cents an hour is a rube"

Your derivative tantrums are boring and you’re hateful. You’re not going to make any progress against hate with that attitude.

Yeah I'd rather keep my money, effort and time to myself and not make any progress than generously donate it to the community and STILL not make any progress I guess I'm just an asshole that way
