Fair, but as a teen who currently can't leave the house, and is too broke to buy anything, I don't know how I would live without apps like Libby.

As big fan I was just super shocked for you to be against anything that would help get a book into someone hands. My only guess was monetary and without other explaintion I have to keep assuming such. Sad a many of your works adorn my shelf

Neil made a statement that "As far as I'm concerned piracy is just free advertising for my books" or something similar a few years ago If his position has changed on that I highly doubt it's because he personally needs/wants your money more these days than before

It probably has to do with SFWA - a labor union for authors of science fiction and fantasy - publicly coming out against the Internet Archive's theory of "controlled digital lending" in 2018
