Okay, and? Are writers never poor? Are they the 1% here sitting on piles of unearned cash? Did you miss the threads about trying to support a family on an income that pays less than minimum wage per hour of work? Or working the equivalent of a few job for years to make $2000?
I've literally been ripped off by someone using my credit card when I was younger and rather than make a big thing of it I was like "Okay, I can afford it, it's not that big a deal, and he probably needed the money more than me"

That doesn't mean I'm open to discussion over how credit card scamming is generally okay as a career or some professional selling dumps of credit cards numbers on the Internet is just a humanitarian helping people get groceries
-
And if in this hypothetical scenario my credit card number were on the Internet and everyone was using it and someone actually got in my face all "Shut up, Arthur, you're not suffering, you're a billionaire and all of the people fucking you over are starving" I'd probably get mad
