24 This amazed them. But Jesus said again, “Dear children, it is very hard[b] to enter the Kingdom of God. 25 In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!”

and you take the sentence at face value and disregard the nuance. Why is it easier? what was the context? when wealth becomes idolatry. when it becomes the be all and end all of everything. when Jeff Bezos asks you to fund his worker's healthcare rather than spend his own money

Lmao the context is explicitly that the dude talking to Jesus is a really good person and the last thing he needs to do to get into heaven is rid himself of wealth. Let’s see how you wriggle your way out of this one

you think this is some sort of who's right thing because you have an opinion and you intend to stick to it. I've already explained that it's the idolatry not the wealth that is the problem. but go awf. Will you send me a physical bible next?

So when you say it’s idolatry of wealth and Jesus says it’s wealth, I should listen to you over Jesus?

Listen to yourself since that's the only person you listen to anyway. It's no skin off my nose. "Jesus" is just an avatar for you anyway.

Okay, can you point to me anytime Jesus said wealth is good? Anytime when he told someone to keep their money for themselves and not give it for the benefit of the poor?

No. Because we are not vibrating on the same wavelength. we're not having a discussion. We're having a "I'm right! I'm right!" argument and life is just too short. Understand or don't. I'm done. Just go on with your life and continue to use Jesus as an avatar for your own desires

I’m just asking you a question, there’s no need to get upset. I’m just asking if there’s any particular passage you referenced in coming to your conclusions

Like I said, cover to cover. You want context of Jesus saying "wealth is good?" as in? why would he say that? in what context? Wealth is a tool. It's how you use it that matters. You don't even get that. So we are not communicating. I'm not upset. I'm just dismissive

He would say that in the context of Peter asking him why he was so harsh to the guy he told to give away all his assets, instead of doubling down on it and making it absolutely clear that rich people don't go to Heaven just as camels don't go through needles
