Humans seem to be unbelievably terrible (in general) at assessing levels of risk. We worry more about airplane crashes then motor vehicle accidents. We use diets and "cleanses" but don't exercise. We raise millions to battle cancer but we avoid breast/colon cancer tests. Etc. Etc
