I feel like if anything these episodes have cemented why the Romulans get so little screen time, also yeah the Synths are every shitty inheritor utopia that I hate, also also kinda weird that they CURED DEATH at the end of this season & that's not a bigger deal

I think that "golem" could only be made once, from what they had of Data, and they were going to use it to resurrect Data but they used it for Picard instead. It won't work for just anyone

I did not get that at all, like that's probably gonna be the HANDWAVE but if it was explained it was "blink & you'll miss it" stuff, but also I'm fine not coming back to Synth Land

What is with all these characters having sons who suddenly appear from nowhere with no explanation

also kinda weird his son looked exactly like him and the androids he made, like there's just a TON of identical coincidental Soongs running around (or maybe he eugenically engineered his son when the family was into that)

Wait, the son looked like him? I just looked up Noonien Soong, not having seen his episodes, and he's clearly an Asian person, which Brent Spiner... isn't as far as I know?

To be fair, when Dr Soong appears for the first time on the show he's like 120 years old and at the the of his natural life, and looks like thispic.twitter.com/Ke2Uo7bkwt

I totally headcanon that Arik somehow hacked his DNA so his sperm would carry all of his DNA and make all his descendants be clones of him

Their whole family were originally eugenicists who believed this was the ideal male body, you may not like it but those is what peak performance looks like

Okay I in my defense I was largely going off of Memory Alpha which has a long paragraph about how he's definitely Asian But then, Khan. I guess they just have a really bad track record for appropriate casting

Speaking of Khan I just looked it up and the reason the names line up is because Soong's great-grandfather was a neo-Khanian and named his grandkid for that somehow? That's what Memory Alpha is telling me. Man Trek continuity is a mess
