That's not how the concept of "responsibility" works Moral responsibility for a situation doesn't divide, it multiplies If one person murders someone and another person hired them to do it, they're not both "50% guilty" of murder, they're both 100% guilty of it

I answered your question There is no contradiction between taking responsibility for bad choices and also holding other people responsible for enabling and encouraging them Responsibility is not a limited resource

You absolutely do not talk about new, exciting, possibly lifesaving medications in a breathless tone in order to "give people hope" when they haven't been tested and aren't available YOU DON'T DO THAT SHIT, it's a basic rule

Doctors and nurses know you're not supposed to do it (and pharma companies eroding this by making prescription drug advertisements illegal is reprehensible, even though those ads are extremely tightly regulated) Should the goddamn President not be held to the same standards

It is EXTRA unreasonable for what is occurring today It's mildly unreasonable to promote untested remedies for a random illness most people don't care about, it's EXTREMELY unreasonable to do so for a virus everyone is terrified of This was OBVIOUSLY going to happen

It's unreasonable on multiple levels Not only does it encourage people to try to get their hands on a dangerous drug illicitly, it's also "giving people hope" for exactly the wrong thing, eroding political will for maintaining the lockdown that is the only thing that can save us

You DO NOT FUCKING TELL PEOPLE "Hey maybe we can all go back to normal soon" unless you KNOW FOR A FACT that it's true Trump's personal impatience with quarantine and eagerness to get things back to normal so the Dow can go back up is delusional negligence
