All the more reason for the president to be careful with what he says, no?

Okay, so what was the positive benefit we got from the President shooting his mouth off about that one dodgy study on Twitter to outweigh this obvious human cost he apparently isn't responsible for

Does the President have no way to push for further research into what he believes may be a promising treatment option that is more discreet and less likely to have negative consequences than just tweeting it out to the general public

Yes and by doing so there are currently at least 3 trials all involving plaquenil and 3 additional different but currently used drugs. So yes I’d say his statements led to further research quickly

That’s not how any of this works. You know nothing.

Says the programmer to the healthcare professional. How many shifts have you pulled thus far in the hospital? How many Covid patients have you intubated yet? That’s what I thought ! So STFU

The research on those drugs had already begun weeks (or longer) before he starting getting credulous people killed by running his fucking mouth.

That's not how the concept of "responsibility" works Moral responsibility for a situation doesn't divide, it multiplies If one person murders someone and another person hired them to do it, they're not both "50% guilty" of murder, they're both 100% guilty of it

It adds up to 200% guilt, the total amount of guilt has doubled Someone can be responsible for doing something stupid that results in their death AND you can be responsible for egging them on, the more people get involved the more guilt there is

The question has been wholly answered. You asked, "Do you blame A or B for X?" The answer is, "Yes."
