Like in objective terms the progress of this thing has been EXTREMELY fast - it was only a few weeks ago everything seemed normal in the US And yet it also feels like it's dragging, disastrously so - the two-week lag between infection and symptoms fucking up our sense of urgency

That's what living in Puerto Rico has been for over decade. Every crisis is predictable but we keep trying to pretend shit is fine the second everything is not on fire. We are only setting up the next train wreck. Our"Resilience" is not strength is an excuse to do nothing. etc
