I know it's unrealistic to expect people to shelter in place for a whole year or even more than a month or so without going stir crazy But it's not NEARLY as unrealistic as expecting everyone to just work and consume like normal while everyone is getting sick

I swear to God these people don't read books The quarantine will not go away if you cancel it now, it will come back in a few months with a vengeance once it's a direct reaction to everyone seeing actual sick people everywhere

This isn't actually people callously accepting the costs of the pandemic because *they clearly don't understand or believe in those costs* It's pure denial, wishful thinking, if they don't see it then it isn't real
