The DNC doesn't hold primaries, state governments hold primaries The fight over whether to delay the Ohio primary or not was entirely between the (Republican) governor's office and the state courts, the DNC had nothing to do with it

Not the whole truth. The DNC's Rules and Bylaws Committee (by way of DNC staff) determine the incentives and penalties for a state democratic party's participation in the National Convention. That, in turn, shapes whether the state parties fight in court or exert power otherwise

Yeah and as the name implies they're only supposed to enforce rules and bylaws set ahead of time, in the interests of fairness They're not set up to make executive decisions over the course of a few days in a global pandemic That's the job of whoever actually runs the election

Fair enough: You can believe that the DNC should decide not to intervene or permit changes to the rules set ahead of time. Not the same thing as saying it has no role in the process. Now we're talking about assessing the DNC's decisions, so I'm satisfied. Thanks for the reply!
