This is sick. Italians singlepayer at work. It is not the army.

That has nothing to do with it. It could happen here too, especially since people are so inclined to ignore CDC recommendations. The US has a limited supply of ventilators, beds and so on. If we have a huge spike like Italy did, we’d be in trouble.

True. We are not the military. We treat the sickest first.

“Our country has only 2.8 hospital beds per 1,000 people. That’s fewer than in Italy (3.2), China (4.3) and South Korea (12.3), all of which have had struggles. More important, there are only so many intensive care beds and ventilators.” https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2020/03/12/upshot/coronavirus-biggest-worry-hospital-capacity.amp.html …

We have many who can help and can build beds easily. We did in Vietnam. Testing is the issue. Going by recommendations is the issue. Too bad Trump waited months before doing anything.

True Trump absolutely failed on this. People can build beds, but they can’t build ventilators, anesthesia machines, new medical staff, etc. I just hope that people take precautions seriously, and that it’s not already too late.

One of the companies that makes ventilators actually refused to send the blueprints so they could try 3D printing their own when they ran out

I know the NG and military have quite a few. Don't know if we could free up any.
