Cells at Work's whole format requires there be a germ to be the anime villain of each episode even when the episode's not about infectious disease But that's part of the theme of the show, whatever else it is that goes wrong the fucking germs are always ready to take advantage

There's like this black comedy moment where everyone's freaking out because the human just suffered an accident and is bleeding to death and some rando jovial germ just pops its head up going "ALL RIGHT ALL RIGHT, WHO WANTS SEPSIS" and it's kind of too real
