1) It's legitimately true it's harder for young people to turn out because they have less money, move around more, etc 2) The other part of that, that young people just don't feel as connected to or engaged with politics, *continues to be true*

I mean I don't know the real truth anymore than anyone else but it really feels like the people saying "No, it's different, today's young people are absolutely desperate and hungry for change and willing to do anything to make it happen" think their clique is all young people

i think it's also fair to assume that many of the young people who ARE desperate and hungry for change don't believe the current electoral process can accomplish it. so they don't bother to get involved.

Maybe, but this narrative makes a lot of assumptions, and Sanders specifically promised he was going to tap into all that potential energy and the results were underwhelming
