tight knit communities are an amazing support, but its so important that people be able to choose the community theyre knit into. a lot of people dont have that choice and it makes them v vulnerable..... i hope we fix this

Ugh, yeah. And I do think it's worth looking into how we can address the fallout from changing social configurations productively, but that's really different than shrugging and going back to 1900.
