This is spinning out into a bigger, wider employment problem. More than 330 Guardian employees - one fifth of the workforce - have signed a letter to editor Kath Viner expressing concerns about the recent pieces on trans issues.https://www.buzzfeed.com/patrickstrudwick/guardian-staff-trans-rights-letter …

"Most people want the tiny percentage of the population who are trans to have the best lives they can. Living your best life would be one free of male violence." did you miss that bit?

Then talks about a French paedophile film producer in the same sentence as trans rights. That's vile. This article was about taking our rights away, dehumanizing us and segregating us like freaks.

She contrasts Polanski being feted with Selina Todd being no-platformed. Her point is that men continue to get a voice despite horrific acts, while women are silenced because people object to their opinions.pic.twitter.com/XljsFIWAtz

Apples and oranges. Vile. We have nothing to do with celebrations of a paedophile. That did not need to be in the article. Many women object to Selina Todd and organisers of events can host whom ever they like.

It seems hard for you to view things other than through a lens that centres yourself. Moore was talking about how differently men and women are treated and the different standards they are held to. I have to say you and others calling her "vile" are rather proving her point.

It's a stupid point None of the venues that no-platformed Todd would welcome Polanski as a speaker And the people who fete Polanski would have no problem welcoming Todd's views - in fact they demonstrably work with and honor virulent transphobes regularly
