So the Emperor's first clone was all melty and couldn't move from the crucifixion pose and whatnot so he had them make a young strapping clone to possess but then rejected it for being a normal dude with no lightning powers

So THEN the plan was to just let the normal dude clone just kind of wander off, knock somebody up, steal the baby and then possess THAT because apparently Force powers skip a generation or something?

I mean I'd buy that cloning has mixed results when it comes to connection with the force. That's believable to me.

It's the "skips a generation" part and the part where they just let the clone run off and get married that strains credibility to me

I was gonna say that maybe clones just can't be force sensitive, but no, apparently the Palpy we saw in TROS was a clone so I dunno, none of it makes sense lol

I think the explanation for why he's all melty may in fact be that that's what happens if you try to make a clone with tissue fully infused by Dark Side energy

Oh, that could work! Then the reason Sith powers seemed to skip a generation is because his son was a clone maybe? But then the head scratching part is how/why his son was able to try to start a family, lol. I mean maybe they just hoped he would but that seems a bit silly.

I think it's supposed to be an unintentional consequence of the son escaping, but the whole point is the son has no powers, so how'd that happen
