This is a cute article but unfortunately is the exact same thing as saying that if I respect the judgment of "Black voters" as a bloc I must now become an enthusiastic Biden supporter https://t.co/cF7RIYJn7C

Yes, and the Super Tuesday results pretty overwhelmingly showed a lot of actual living people who are working-class Black voters from the South voting for Biden

Replying to @arthur_affect
It's not a good argument, okay, especially since it's kind of a rapid pivot from years of *Bernie supporters* being the ones saying "Vote based on policy, not identity politics" and "Are you gonna let who does or doesn't support a candidate determine whether we get healthcare"

Okay, so then the whole thesis of the article, which is that "Bernie supporters" represent a certain specific demographic (the working class) and by voting for Bernie I am signaling solidarity with that demographic, is false

Noooo, it's the author of the article who seems to think that, by saying that there's one candidate in the race "the working class" suppprts

I don't think either of those things, which is why, in point of fact, I am *not* throwing my support behind Biden because "Black people" supposedly support him
