Like this is what people openly say they want, what their plan for M4A is A landslide followed by an avalanche - Bernie storms into the DNC with a commanding majority of delegates, swamps Trump in the election with a blue wave of new leftist members of Congress

And the "political revolution" to follow All the centrist Democrats get primaried out of office, all the Republicans get overthrown once the red districts rediscover their sense of class consciousness, before ten years are up we have our brand new society

If you seriously believed this was going to happen, then yes, any centrist Dem telling Bernie "Let's cut a deal" is a Mephistopheles trying to trick you into killing the revolution before it starts But in the real world, that might be the only way he takes office at all

Honestly, I think Bernie is a bad politician, which makes him popular with young people sick of politics. He isn't fond of compromise or shifting his views, his plans are "Get it done however you can" and anyone not in line can join or GTFO of the way.

He's a great agitator, great at stirring people up who are just tired of this shit... but he's not as great at building the alliances within the system to make it work. He needs WAY more progressives in Congress for that and the voters just refuse to be there for that.

I feel bad for the situation Bernie finds himself in, and I do think that having Biden as nominee is a step back. That said, I'm quietly gloating at everybody who ever sent a "They will have to bend the knee!!" tweet.
