Like for me it was never not being able to imagine *liking* Biden It was the enthusiasm gap - not being able to imagine people *caring* about Biden "Who the hell gets hyped to vote for Joe Biden as though he's something other than a lazy default choice" Apparently lotsa people

I'm wondering to what extent that enthusiasm is a function of the nostalgia a lot of Dems feel for the Obama presidency, of which Biden is an obvious symbol. They want Obama back; if they can't get him, they'll take Joe.
