I think it's highly unlikely that the convention "steals the nomination" from whoever has the lead in delegates (they've never done it before, even with George McGovern, the Bernie of the 70s) But his supporters don't want an image of Bernie begging for votes and compromising

Even though showing his willingness and ability to do that is exactly what the Bernie skeptics want in order to be able to get behind him, even if (especially if) it involves no major policy changes Honestly that's where I am re: supporting Bernie
