This is not about being "resistant to universal healthcare"

Yes it is. As of right now, your candidate is the single biggest obstacle to that. Maybe not ever, but at this moment.

It takes a certain galaxy brain mindset to conclude that Elizabeth Warren is the biggest threat to Bernie Sanders becoming President, as opposed to Joe Biden, or for that matter Donald Trump

No, it's pretty simple. She's splitting the vote of the left wing of the party by staying in when she doesn't have a chance.

No, voters aren't sorted so neatly A bunch of Warren voters will go to Biden if/when she drops out, and a bunch more just wouldn't have voted if she weren't in the race

The same assumption was made about Buttigieg and Klobuchar voters, but polling from yesterday indicated that they overwhelmingly are falling in line for Biden.

So assuming this is true, what do you think this means, that voters will automatically fall in line to the ideological lane you think they belong to, that they respond when their candidate gives an endorsement, or that Biden is seen by voters generally as the safe choice

Mostly the first two. Warren should endorse Sanders if she cares about universal healthcare or combatting climate change.

I consider the first one to be the least likely and the only one that makes the case for her dropping out now

I've had a raft of Sanders fans tell me that 40% of Warren's voters list him as their second choice. I'm not sure how current that is, but I wonder how many of the remaining 60% named Biden or somebody who has since endorsed him. More than 40%? Less than 40%? I'm curious.

The other top two were Buttigieg and Klobuchar

Of course it's no sure thing that they would drop down to their second choice *and* follow their endorsements, as opposed to following their top choice's endorsement, but the fact that Sanders wasn't their 2 suggests they've made up their mind at least a little against him.
