Warren is right that Bernie has switched positions from 2016, when he said Hillary shouldn't get the nomination if she had the most but not majority of delegates, but now says he should get it if he does. Surprised this supporter of his didn't know this.pic.twitter.com/bmU67Vpc65

In fact, not only did Bernie say Hillary shouldn't necessarily get the nomination if she had a plurality of delegates, he said the superdelegates should give it to him even if Hillary had a *majority*, because he had the momentum and was the better candidate.https://twitter.com/Yair_Rosenberg/status/1232882628841349122 …

I think the smarter play for Bernie, assuming he hits the DNC with the most delegates, is just to start quietly shoring up alliances with other campaigns & delegates, so he can quickly secure the nom by consensus. A much easier sell than saying it should automatically go to him.https://twitter.com/Yair_Rosenberg/status/1232882628841349122 …

In other words, Bernie supporters shouldn't be telling Warren and her supporters that Bernie is basically entitled to her delegates if he has a plurality. They should be quietly working to win her and them over should she fail to accumulate enough to credibly win the nomination.https://twitter.com/Yair_Rosenberg/status/1232884863696605184 …

Bernie stayed late in the primary, even when he was basically mathematically eliminated, b/c he thought superdelegates should give him the nom, not b/c of the FBI & Hillary. But if we're crediting this argument: shouldn't Warren stay on in case Bernie has another heart attack?https://twitter.com/KyleKulinski/status/1232893983745028098 …
Yair Rosenberg added,
Secular Talk 🎙Verified account @KyleKulinskiI should also mention that Bernie hung around until the convention bc *Hillary was under FBI investigation*. So in the case of an indictment, what would/ should the party do?? (rigging the primary aside). That position is quite different than Warren's today.Show this thread65 replies 53 retweets 323 likesShow this thread -

Replying to @jlo_dahhan @Yair_Rosenberg
If it's that certain then why does it matter if she stays in, it's her donors' money to waste, where's the harm

What happened to the whole concept from 2016 of getting as many delegates as you can to negotiate at the convention

Because she has several candidates ahead of her
