So now there's *three* quasi-government agencies that regulate superpowers (the DEO, ARGUS, and the ASA), the third of which does so entirely by oppressing and exploiting Black Americans, with no interference from the first two ...Yeah, actually, that makes sense

The *whole point* of Black Lightning's backstory is he was a legendary Black superhero from the 90s who retired and came back But when rich white boy Oliver Queen died and they revealed he's been Arrow for eight years he gets a memorial as "the first superhero"? ...Okay, yeah

If in this universe Superman is a real guy whose career started about ten years ago but Black Lightning's career goes back at least twenty years why does the theme song the kids made up for him say "This is our Superman, Robin and the Bat"

Wait does this mean there was a Robin in this new universe, does that change the backstory of Batwoman Why do all these new DC universes end up making Batman like 20 years older than everyone else

It was actually pretty funny that in the Crisis when Jefferson was confronted by Supergirl, Batwoman, the Flash and White Canary he had no idea who any of them were and thought he was in a mad universe of nightmares But then he meets Superman and is like "OMG you're real!"

Meeting a character you thought was fictional in the real world should be more disorienting than meeting total strangers tbh but I guess at a certain point you just break I mean how would you adjust to then waking up in a universe where Superman *always was* real

Conundrum: If Superman were real, the population of Northern America would be drastically different due to Supe's numerous interventions. If the universe flipped the Superman switch to On, would you even still exist if you weren't narratively important?

The whole question of how much the population of the three original universes overlapped - the entire city of Freeland explicitly did not exist in the Arrowverse or Supergirl universe - raises all these questions about the new merged universe

The easiest answer I guess is that New Earth's population is just a lot higher, by a substantial degree (Central City, Star City, Gotham, Metropolis and Freeland are all now in the same USA and have the same populations)

And the New Earth can support this many more people without anything substantially changing because its tech level is similarly higher, thanks to combining the existence of STAR Labs and the DEO and also retconning history so Lex Luthor walks free
