The fact that the BL universe hasn't just *become* part of the Supergirl universe but *always was* part of the same universe with a whole history everyone but our main characters remembers is a pretty big problem! One I'm sure they'll address just as thoughtfully as the comicshttps://twitter.com/Nymphomachy/status/1232796712466448385 …

It was actually pretty funny that in the Crisis when Jefferson was confronted by Supergirl, Batwoman, the Flash and White Canary he had no idea who any of them were and thought he was in a mad universe of nightmares But then he meets Superman and is like "OMG you're real!"

Meeting a character you thought was fictional in the real world should be more disorienting than meeting total strangers tbh but I guess at a certain point you just break I mean how would you adjust to then waking up in a universe where Superman *always was* real

There's a whole thing to be written about how hip-hop lyrics reference Superman way, way more than any other superhero, it isn't even close Which may have to do with what Superman represents to marginalized communities but also that rappers weren't that interested in comics

The really interesting thing about the ending to the Crisis is that the New Earth is mostly a mixture of Supergirl's Earth and the Arrowverse because those were the two universes the final set of heroes were from Black Lightning was NOT among them, he was already dead

So I guess from an in-universe POV even though they didn't realize they were doing it their guilt over dragging Jefferson from his Earth into the Crisis only to have it be for naught and for him to die anyway drove them to pull his world back from ashes

It's in the end lucky for him that his universe just happened to be nearby when Pariah made that wish for someone with lightning powers

The Batman age thing is a compound effect of a) being skill / ridiculous training based with a relatively high age cap of when he started (has to be able to remember his parents death) which makes him hard to deage b) having more stories than pretty much anyone else due +

to having more comic books and c) Bat-editorials created a much more linear / dependant body of work due to regularly crossovers with ongoing consequences (like having 5 Robins , most of whom make no sense absent the context of at least one predecessor).
