Disney fucked that up for me. I *know* it's Heracles in the Greek context, but for some reason Disney decided that everyone else should be Greek - Hades, not Pluto, etc. - but Hercules is randomly Roman.

Enh Hercules is by far the more popular name in the modern world and unlike Zeus vs Jupiter Hercules IS Heracles (he's the Roman adaptation of a Greek myth rather than them retconning an existing Roman god into being the same as a Greek one)

It's not a Disney thing, almost all the modern adaptations say "Hercules" but use the Greek names for the gods The Kevin Sorbo TV show, old movies like Jason and the Argonauts, that Arnold Schwarzenegger movie Hercules in New York
