The Seven/Chakotay ship really had nothing behind it other than them wanting her to end up with somebody and Jeri Ryan thought Robert Beltran was the hottest member of the cast (and Beltran thought his contract was almost fulfilled so hey whatever)

Most fans were rooting for Seven/Doctor, who had any stake in the matter

But yeah in the series finale in the bad future where Seven died before they made it home apparently Chakotay died shortly after they got back because he couldn't live without her

(From Beltran's POV this was just the culmination of subordinating everyone else's storyline but especially his into The Seven of Nine Show But hey whatever, paycheck)

But yes anyway Seven did have a few other het romances earlier in the show She tries to date a random Voyager ensign when she begins to try to reclaim her humanity and it goes poorly

She responded to this by opening up the holodeck's quaint Irish village simulation and making one of the characters into a virtual boytoy, in a memorable scene

Tangentially, someone needs to develop a philosophy course curriculum on virtual sexual ethics with AI and limited-sentience computers. Simulators are fascinating. Also c.f. Riker falling for a purpose-programmed woman on the Holodeck.

There was a whole episode about the Irish village characters slowly gaining self awareness and the crew having to put a stop to it that they just ran as a goofy comedy breather episode with no regard for the ethical issues
