Every single mean tweet sent by a supporter of Bernie Sanders, combined, has contributed absolutely nothing to the progress of healthcare reform and it's offensive to pretend it somehow hashttps://twitter.com/prof_gabriele/status/1230608850493071377 …

I mean, I’m a pretty tired so I likely won’t articulate things properly, but you don’t have to look at replies to Shaun for very long to understand that he very much understands how bad harassment can get. His point was definitely not that mean tweets are helping.

The entire post is a relative privation fallacy.

I come from an pretty privileged background and know multiple people who died because they couldn’t afford healthcare. It really is offensive when that happens. He also is not arguing that people should be harassed. Not sure how you fit that into that fallacy.

The fallacy is even mentioning the two things together like they're connected People farting in front of me while I'm talking to them is infinitesimally less bad than the genocide of the Uighurs in Xinjiang, it doesn't mean they should all do it

I believe his point was that people are linking these things. There have been multiple sources insisting a candidate who seems to be in the strongest (debatable, sure) position to fix healthcare and various other issues is responsible for what people who claim to support him do.

Yeah, if someone farting on my couch is also a tireless warrior against genocide in Xinjiang that might affect how good a person he is overall but it doesn't actually affect whether he's farting on my couch does it Does he need to fart on my couch to do his things

Bernie has hired some of the biggest assholes on the Internet to work on his campaign, which has really not actually helped his campaign very much while also generally made life shitty for a lot of people who have nothing to do with why the country doesn't have healthcare

Which ones are those? I may not be aware of what it was they did. If he has hired people that are making life shitty for people, that would be wrong.
