I mean, I’m a pretty tired so I likely won’t articulate things properly, but you don’t have to look at replies to Shaun for very long to understand that he very much understands how bad harassment can get. His point was definitely not that mean tweets are helping.

Twitter experiences aren’t any different than any other experience. If supporters of a particular politician or a political position were abusive in the same ways in public as on social media, it would create the same negative impact.
