I can't get into details because of privacy, but I witnessed a case of severe "lateral" worker abuse of other workers based on identity category today - not in my workplace to be clear. It disgusted me, the cruelty of a group of workers to one worker with a marginalized identity

This is why I cannot get behind class politics. Your boss is often nowhere close to the threat your peers are, and being class centric leads to things like accusations of class treason if you are a worker abused by your peers and speak out

Word. For disabled people, this usually means your co-workers don't like you getting "special treatment" (accommodations) or "not pulling your weight" (actually being disabled). These issues won't magically vanish with the arrival of Real True Socialism, whatever that is.

Actually existing communist countries were plagued with an - inherently right-wing - obsession with "wreckers", "hoarders" and "shirkers" When things were going badly there was an immediate response to look for the false comrades among the ranks and punish them

It should be obvious how policing each other for anyone who's taking more than their share or not pulling their weight is harmful to any kind of minority (but especially shitty to disabled people) And yet white Marxists seem fine with importing this culture wholesale

It started with people calling the DSA Disability Working Group a pack of malingering wreckers over the issue of invisible disabilities, now they're at the point of attacking people with visible disabilities as "wheelchair grifters"
