Also many of those tests had to come through my primary care provider so if I were not lucky enough to get healthcare through the VA I just straight up would have lost my job

You keep hearing ppl all like "well what's wrong with a sex binary in medicine?" Then some contractor who reviews paperwork somewhere adheres to this idea of different "healthy ranges" for men and women and can't reconcile their checklist with a healthy person who mixes them up

To be clear: I was very upfront about my transness and my intersexness with the doctor who evaluated me, I even brought in my HRT She was the contractor of a contractor though, so the clean bill of health she wrote me got translated by someone else into TOTAL PANIC MODE
