Sense and Sensibility. The heroes of the book were booooooooooooorrring in the extreme. The movie was lovely and full of humour (In contrast to Pride and Prejudice, which is a far better book. I've never yet seen any screen adaption--movie or TV mini-series--that did P&P justice)
