Adapting Parasite as a movie set in the US with white people with Mark Ruffalo as Mr Kim is a troubling idea for so many reasons Not saying I wouldn't see it, but still

Ahhh, I had not seen that! And I didn't realize he had that level of involvement, that reassures me quite a bit.

Because I can absolutely see how an American team could stretch that plotline out into the single-plot-point-per-episode thing we see so much these days.

The idea of an open-ended series with this concept is horrible and I'm glad they're not doing it (The whole point is the situation is wildly unstable and doomed to collapse and if you drag it out it becomes a stupid sitcom)

You could easily do it as a drama with Breaking Bad-style beats. One episode per family-staff replacement. Maybe a couple take more than one. You have a lot more moments where the con is right on the verge of being discovered. The housekeeper thing goes on for multiple seasons.
