A lot of people's reactions moved from "Homosexuality is disgusting, fuck off" to "No-one cares, fuck off" when someone comes out the closet, without even an intervening "Being gay is acceptable, I was wrong all those years" period of contrition, and I find that very interesting.

That's the whole point of the OP Even if we assume for the sake of argument that homophobia is "over" in 2020, the fact that you didn't take any interest before it was over and you seem proud of the fact that your life was unaffected by the transition is why you're an asshole

At no point did I say I didn't care about the abuse people receive. I was merely stating that I happen to not care whether someone was straight, gay, bi, trans, ect. Which was implied by the original post to mean that I was a problem

Ah, but this is exactly my point. If everyone had this attitude, then all would be sound, because no one would be discriminated against. I cannot believe you're critical of me not discriminating against people who are LGBTQ+.
