Okay look fuck it I'm tweeting this with the names in it: If you actually listen to the hour long tape of Amber Heard and Johnny Depp's "counseling session" or read the transcript, it is very difficult to come away with the impression of him being the abuser, or "mutual abuse"

And actively makes me feel like I can't trust you

Yeah. As someone who has worked with DV survivors and is a survivor of abuse myself... I feel the same way. Thanks for vocalizing it.

And aside from that, there's NO ONE that's come forward to say he was an abuser. Usually, others would come forward to corroborate Heard's story. In actuality, his exes have said the opposite: that he would never be violent or abusive. These situations are usually patterns.

Whereas on her side there are so many people, and also documented cases (her being arrested for abusing her ex) of her abusing people around her, or being manipulative. Again, usually these things are patterns, and the clear pattern is that he's never been abusive but she has.

There’s also widespread agreement in the literature that “mutual battering” isn’t a thing. People typically trot it out when a) the abuser & the victim are the same gender or b) the victim is male.

A lot of this circumstantial "evidence" also points toward him being a good target for an abuser who wants to get away with their garbage as long as possible. Mentally ill people are more likely to be victims of abuse than abusers.
