When people in the media say it matters who "won" for the sake of "momentum", they are talking about a completely media-driven phenomenon and are doing the self-fulfilling prophecy thing

Most of America can't seem to be taught this. The reason why the media goes after the "win" so much is that people don't have patience for delegate counts or what it means. They just want to know who "won" and move on.

Are there undecided people sitting around going "Man, I can't wait for those Iowa Caucus results so I know who to vote for!"

By doing this whole fight over who "Won!" both of the two front-runners utterly destroyed any value such a prize would have and did permanent damage to the eventual Dem candidate whoever they are.

I would be thrilled if any candidate gave a "non-victory" speech to the effect that winning states in this context is meaningless. The problem is that, no matter who did it, this would only be seen as after-the-fact excuse-making by someone who clearly must not have won Iowa!

doesn't matter but does it... count? math counts. decimals count. rounding off delegates was probly what screwed up the caucus in the first place
