Amoramancers are literally powered by being in the black on the emotional ledger You gain power the more unrequited someone else's love for you is, the more emotional energy they give you that you don't give back If you ever genuinely love someone else you lose your powers

For an Amoramancer to gain a major charge (the UA adept equivalent of an artifact-level power, free ability to make an open-ended wish) someone has to die out of love for you without you loving them back

It's much more of a practically achievable goal than most schools' methods of gaining a major charge, though one that might take you to uncomfortable places
