I feel pretty convinced that there's just no room in my life for television shows like THE OFFICE, PARKS AND REC, BROOKLYN 99, THE GOOD PLACE et al in this decade It's all just starting to feel like comedy for basic bitches that got too much of a RAM upgrade to settle for SNL

I like watching some of these like once in a while because they are basic and lots of wholesome energy. But i can only handle so much of that comedy before i start becoming numb to it.

But i understand the appeal since a lot of my very depressed friends love it. I can see WHY they do. And what about it is so appealing. Idk i never want to shit on something thay helps my friends cope when it isn't hurting anyone.

Yeah idk I'm at a point where I honestly don't want to hear from somebody if something I don't like helped their depression? Like basically anything has probably helped somebody somewhere, that just proves help is everywhere and we find it in what we can

The biggest problem TGP has is Jason, and without going full Jacobin about it it's really clear that the show's POV is not fully comfortable talking about the working class/underclass so all they can do is turn him into a cartoon and play him for laughs

If you really sat down and got serious about the many many obvious reasons Jason was set up to fail and his sentence is therefore unjust, you couldn't have this kind of show anymore It'd bring everyone down really hard

There are moments where I unexpectedly had more respect for the show in its later seasons that all involved them uncomfortably letting Jason be more than "The Dumbass"

The big joke sequence of Tahani wantonly cashing out her bank account and doing wacky things with it ending with Jason innocently picking up a single wad of bills all, "Man, the number of times just having this much money would've changed my life"
