Quite the opposite When you're done, and there's really nothing left to hold you... Staying or going is the same He's ready to leave, because he's done everything for himself he needs to do But there's nothing wrong with staying

Idk The Jianyu thing originally came off as kind of mean and dismissive about actual Buddhist monks, in a show that really centered Western analytic philosophy to the detriment of other traditions But I think this payoff made up for it
