LUKE: Adopt... a Palpatine? What like symbolically? Like when you give money to sponsor a space whale? YODA: no, literal I am being. Go to your house she will. Ghosts you will be. Give her your name so she can be less embarassed, even though in Tattooine, equally bad Skywalker is

But seriously the absurd thing about Ben's final word being "ow" is that it's not even proximate to or related to why he dies. He just goes 15 minutes without speaking, during the climax of his whole arc, while being played by an Oscar nominated actor

He doesn't talk at all in Exagol, and Rey talks very little, because they were still putting together the ending all the way through production on this blocks and still hadn't decided on it up to the very end

I mean you saw the thing about how the very last acting thing they did on this movie was having Adam Driver record new lines for Kylo Ren to dub over to establish the Rey Palpatine thing They were already done with filming so they had to go to his house

It's wild that it's gradually becoming clear they did that whole thing in front of a green screen not knowing who the villain they were fighting was going to be, and then they put in Ian McDiarmid as Palpatine after the fact and filled in his dialogue

It's actually not that hard to imagine using the footage they have to assemble a movie where the twist is something completely different, hence all the "Release the Reylo Cut" style petitions

It's a shame that it's impossible not to have thoughts like this about this movie The cutting and pasting with Carrie Fisher being extremely obvious to anyone who knows anything
