People do understand that if Uber became a real cab company that treated drivers like employees a lot of people would get fired by Uber, right And I am 100% in favor of this happening but I'm not sure they are

If I have a religious aversion to a characteristic reasonably to be expected among members of the public then I can't work a public facing job The public can't be expected to accommodate me This is as true for "I can't interact with women" as "I can't interact with service dogs

In either case, it's a question of reasonable accommodations, I think. Of course, there's no religious objection to dogs anyway, so it's an artificial problem.
