If I understand: A disabled low wage worker was discriminated against by a different low wage worker. The disabled worker complained, and the other worker got fired by a faceless corporation. Twitter has spent 3 days discussing which worker was at fault, not the corporation

seems like people on this site have so internalized the meme of “speaking to the manager is bad” that they genuinely think challenging that behavior is more socialist than challenging Uber on the way it treats drivers, which is so bad uber has been banned from multiple countries

Apparently Uber has a “one strike and your out” policy for failure to comply with the ADA, but again, Uber does not train its drivers, maintain their cars, or really take any responsibility, and the drivers can’t use their union to complain because they aren’t “employees”

It's not "one strike", she reported three other people who all got off with a warning Indeed when she said she didn't want anyone fired the Uber rep assured her they do not ban anyone on first offense
