Uber could do a lot to fix this problem, but they haven't, not until they've been threatened with lawsuits, and then slowly and recalcitrantly This problem would instantly become much smaller in a non-Uber business with real employees

And obviously in a better country or a better world people wouldn't have to physically entrust their safety to a stranger at all All of this is true BUT IT IS STILL ALSO THE DRIVER'S FAULT
